Dr. Jane Andrews joined Yale in January 2017 as an Assistant Professor in the Section of General Internal Medicine. She completed medical school at Johns Hopkins, internal medicine residency at Tulane University and most recently served as an academic hospitalist at Tulane. Her academic interests include Hepatitis C treatment in urban populations, non-opiate treatments for persistent pain, the intersection of climate change and health, and the role of advocacy in medical education. She received her MPH from Johns Hopkins in 2010, and remains committed to advocacy through environmental health and the access to medicines movement. She is a member of Physicians for Social Responsibility, Amnesty International, and formerly on the board of Universities Allied for Essential Medicines.
