Departments & Organizations
I earned a BS in life science and a PhD in medical science from Yonsei University in South Korea, where I worked in Cancer Metastasis Research Center under the supervision of Drs. Chung and Rha on cancer pharmacogenomics. With an interest in angiogenesis, I then did postdoctoral research at University of Iowa in the laboratory of Dr. Amit Choudhury where I studied syntaxin-mediated intracellular trafficking of angiogenesis-related proteins such as VEGFR and integrin. My current research at Yale in the Dr. Mehran Sadeghi laboratory studies the role of DCBLD proteins (DCBLD1 and DCBLD2) and molecular imaging in angiogenesis and cardiovascular diseases.
