Ashwin Pamudurthy, MHSA, MS, is currently the Vice-Chair & Director, Finance & Administration for the department of Pediatrics at the Yale School of Medicine. As Vice Chair & Director, Ashwin provides executive fiscal and operational management for the department with focus on strategic planning & execution, clinical practice management, research administration, human capital management & development, space and facilities administration.

Prior to his current role, Ashwin was at Columbia University’s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons where he served as the Department Administrator/ Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Pediatrics. In his role, Ashwin was responsible for the management and strategic planning related to the administrative, clinical and financial operations and resources of the Department and for managing relationships with Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia Doctors, New York-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and Columbia University Medical Center.

Prior to Columbia University, Ashwin served as the Executive Director of Finance for Stamford Health Medical Group (SHMG), the integrated physician network of Stamford Health in Stamford, CT. His responsibilities included practice evaluation, acquisition and integration, physician compensation strategy and plan design, budgets and financial reporting. Other experiences included stints as the Chief Executive Officer for Seaport Orthopaedic Associates, a private for-profit, multi-site, musculoskeletal surgical group based in New York City, as a Senior Business Manager within the Faculty Group Practice at NYU School of Medicine with financial and operational responsibilities over the clinical practices for the Department of Medicine and in multiple progressive roles within the corporate office of Northwell Health Physician Partners, the physician group practice of Northwell Health in Long Island, NY.

Ashwin received his Master of Health Services as well as his Master of Science from the University of Kansas and graduated from Osmania University (Hyderabad, India) with a bachelor of commerce degree in accounting and finance.
