Goals & Objectives
To observe child with developmental disabilities in naturalistic environments including home and school settings.
Residents will observe one preselected child with a significant developmental disability in their home and/or school to understand the interventions they receive and the impact of their disability on their functioning in multiple settings.
To obtain greater knowledge about the impact of raising a child with serious developmental disabilities on a family and siblings.
Residents will conduct a home visit and interview parents using a standardized questionnaire that explores the multiple ways raising a child with developmental disabilities can impact upon family functioning.
Satisfying these goals and objectives will improve core competencies in:

- Interpersonal and Communication Skills
- Patient Care
