Lunch & Learn: What does it mean to publish my research ‘open access’?

Registration is required. Click here to register.

‘Open access’ (OA) means that your research is published or shared in a way that makes it free to read by anyone (anyone with a computer and internet access, that is). OA is a movement that has gained momentum over time, empowering authors and academic institutions to partner with open access journals and disseminate scholarly works to the masses, rather than leaving commercial publishers to be the gatekeepers of information.

Join librarian, Kayla Del Biondo, to learn about open access terminology, web tools that can help you find information about OA journals you might submit a manuscript to, along with recent policy changes from the Office of Science and Technology Policy of the U.S. Government that will make government-funded research immediately accessible to all Americans in the near future. Feel free to eat your lunch (or late breakfast!) during this workshop, with your Zoom camera turned on or off.
