Welcome

Welcome to the Yale Department of Pediatrics! As Vice Chair of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, my primary goal is to support and enhance diversity in our members and cultivate a workplace where everyone feels valued and included. I view my role as that of an active advocate for respect and equity in all practices relating to our Yale Department of Pediatrics constituents and structures. We aim to enhance the Department’s diversity efforts in recruiting and advancing minorities through mentoring, outreach, and robust professional development training opportunities. We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that reflects the rich cultural and ethnic diversity of our patients, our trainees and the diverse community in which we live and serve. Pursuing diversity, equity, inclusion is not just right, it is also smart as the mission of our Department of Pediatrics is enhanced and improved by including a diverse range of voices and perspectives.
