Dr. Andrea Barbieri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology. She received her undergraduate degree from Case Western Reserve University and went on to receive her MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She subsequently completed her residency in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital in 2013. Her research interests include areas in head and neck pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, and quality improvement in surgical pathology. Dr. Barbieri is also Co-Chair of the Dean's Advisory Council for LGBTQI+ Affairs at Yale School of Medicine. She is actively involved in and passionate about teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
