Powers Elected to Associate Membership of ACNP

Albert Powers, MD, PhD, assistant professor of psychiatry, has been elected to associate membership of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology (ACNP).

Powers was elected to join the College at its 60th Annual Meeting held December 5-8, 2021, in Puerto Rico. Membership in the ACNP is by nomination only, and members must be nominated by an eligible ACNP member.

Associate members are eligible for election if their career interest is in the field of neuropsychopharmacology, and if they have demonstrated potential to become superior investigators in the field.

According to its mission, ACNP is a professional society dedicated to advancing the scientific understanding of and facilitating communication about disorders of the brain and behavior to advance their prevention and treatment.

Powers is medical director and associate director of the PRIME Psychosis Prodrome Research Clinic at Yale. He also directs the Powers Lab at Yale.
