Dixit Lab Member Phu Awarded NIH F30 Fellowship

Anh Phu, a member of the Dixit Laboratory at Yale School of Medicine, was recently named recipient of a National Institutes of Health (NIH) Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award F30 Predoctoral Fellowship. The fellowship, funded by the National Institute of Aging, supports students in combined dual-degree programs – such as MD/PhD – who plan to pursue careers as physician-scientists or clinician-scientists.

The title of Phu’s application is, “Defining immune checkpoints during cysteine restriction that limits age-related atherosclerosis.” Phu’s research interests focus on investigating the mechanisms and impact of immune cells’ metabolism and inflammation on chronic inflammatory diseases.
