Dean’s Advisory Council for LGBTQI+ Invites Alumni Participation

The Dean’s Advisory Council for LGBTQI+ Affairs at the Yale School of Medicine collaborates with groups across the medical campus to cultivate a supportive, vibrant, and connected community of LGBTQI+ individuals and their allies. It also guides the expansion of and promotes excellence in LGBTQI+ education, clinical care, and research. As part of these initiatives, the council is hosting the inaugural, binational Q-Med conference next Spring, designed to promote leadership amongst LGBTQI+ students pursuing careers in health care more information can be found at our website.

We invite alumni participation! Alumni are welcome to join us at LGBTQI+ student-faculty lunches held at the medical school. The next lunch is December 7, 2018. If you are interested in attending or learning more about future events, please sign up for our list serve that can be found on our website.

Alumni are also welcome to join the “Outlist,” which is designed for individuals across the medical center who identify as a sexual and/or gender minority. This includes but is not limited to those who describe themselves as lesbian, gay, trans, queer, or intersex (LGBTQI+). The Outlist promotes visibility and community and celebrates the many contributions of LGBTQI+ individuals across the medical center. The council also welcomes all individuals with interests in sexual and gender minority clinical care, research, education, community service, or mentorship to join their directories.
