Michael Krauthammer recognized for work in medical informatics

Dr. Michael Krauthammer, associate professor of pathology, will be inducted into the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI), a professional association committed to the use of informatics to transform health care.

Krauthammer is one of 17 medical professionals selected for this honor, including fellows from across the country and globally. Fellows are subject matter experts in the science of informatics as it informs clinical care, research, education, and policy. ACMI is an honorary College of elected Informatics Fellows who have made significant and sustained contributions to the field of medical informatics and who have met rigorous scholarly scrutiny by their peers, according to the association.

Krauthammer is also a member of Yale Cancer Center, Yale Combined Program in the Biological and Biomedical Sciences, and the Office of Cooperative Research. He received his training from the Universitat Zurich and Columbia University.

Fellows will be inducted into the ACMI on Nov. 5 at ceremonies during the AMIA 2017 Annual Symposium in Washington, D.C.
