On March 3, 2025, the Yale School of Medicine Physician Associate (PA) Program hosted a blood drive in collaboration with the American Red Cross. Through the efforts of key student organizers Caroline Hoeft, Mckenzie Prunier, and Emily Zheng, the event was a huge success. Twenty-six units of blood were collected, which will benefit patients in need. Donors included students, faculty, staff, and community members. The Yale Graduate and Professional Student Senate supplied Crumbl cookies, which participants could enjoy after their donation. This initiative is a testament to the shared commitment to making a positive impact and supporting the community.
PA Program Director David Brissette, MMSc, PA-C, says, "This blood drive exemplifies the generosity and dedication of our students, faculty, and staff in supporting those in need. We are incredibly proud of our students for organizing such a meaningful event."
