Li Qin, PhD is an Associate Research Scientist of Medicine (Cardiology) at Yale, a member in the analytical group of the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE) at the Yale-New Haven Hospital. She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, her master degree in Statistics at North Dakota State University, Fargo, ND, and her PhD degree in Biostatistics at University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. After graduation, she has working experiences in company (Premier Research group) and universities (University of Pittsburgh and Yale University) for more than 10 years. She has participated in multidisciplinary teams working on pharmaceutical company- and government-sponsored clinical trials, as well as on quite a few other challenging clinical research projects. Her academic training and research experience in statistics have provided her with an excellent background in comprehensive statistical analyses and collaborations with clinical and epidemiological investigators. In addition to statistical data analyses, her responsibilities have included writing statistical sections of study protocols, preparing statistical analysis plans, and preparing interim data reports as well as reports for scientific presentations and manuscripts, some of which have been published in top peer-reviewed journals. Currently she works on projects from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services to develop statistical models and provide analytical helps.
