Biography

Kashika M. Sahay, PhD, MPH is an Associate Research Scientist on the Quality Measurement Team at the Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation.

Dr. Sahay is a multidisciplinary researcher whose work uses real-world data and evidence to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. She has published in a variety of journals ranging from neurology to health education to social work.

Her professional experiences include analytic work at CDC and industry. Dr. Sahay has a PhD in Maternal and Child Health with a minor in Biostatistics from UNC Chapel Hill and an MPH in Epidemiology from Emory University. Prior to joining CORE, Dr. Sahay worked as a Health Outcomes Researcher in industry using real-world data to evaluate public health programming. Before that, she worked as a Statistician at CDC's Division of Reproductive Health, Rare Disorders and Health Outcomes Team to standardize the surveillance of longitudinal clinical outcomes relating to Muscular Dystrophy.

At CORE, Dr. Sahay is currently leading teams relating to the re-evaluation of quality measures for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid hospital and outpatient contracts.
