Jessica Ray, PhD is a Human Factors researcher with a strong background in simulation for system design, analysis, and training. Her research interests focus on systems approaches to understand and support human performance and cognition in complex environments.
Jessica holds a Masters of Science in Modeling and Simulation as well as a PhD in Applied Experimental and Human Factors Psychology from the University of Central Florida. During her graduate training she worked as a Consortium Research Fellow with the Army Research Institute's Technology-based Training Unit. Following graduate school she spent over five years as a Simulation Learning Consultant for Yale New Haven Health where her work included teaching debriefing techniques to simulation instructors, supporting teamwork and communication training, systems analysis and work process development, and design and testing of new patient care areas.
