Biography

I am a clinical psychologist licensed in NY and CT with a specialization in forensic psychology completed at Fordham University. My areas of expertise are evidence-based treatments, particularly Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). I am currently the Assistant Director of DBT Services at Yale-New Haven Psychiatric Hospital. This includes my role as the team lead at the DBT Adult Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). I recently designed a program development project that expands and improves DBT services throughout the hospital, including: a new transitioning adult youth DBT outpatient group, a DBT graduate outpatient group, as well as program improvements to the DBT IOP that tailor treatment to the needs of our highest acuity patients and facilitate faster stabilization with step down to outpatient care. As part of this project, I am currently conducting a qualitative research study to elicit feedback from patient focus groups, and using this feedback to inform treatment design. Some of my research interests include evaluating the utility of risk assessment instruments, the development and evaluation of adaptations to evidence-based practice, particularly for treating racially marginalized patients, and evaluating methods of personality disorder measurement.
