Biography
Aidin Eslam Pour, MD, MS, FAAOS is a fellowship-trained, board-certified orthopaedic surgeon and clinician scientist who is the chief of orthopaedic surgery at West Haven Veterans Affair Hospital. He cares for patients with hip and knee problems. He is skilled in joint preservation techniques, total joint replacements, and revisions. He also cares for patients who have prosthetics such as artificial joints that may be failing or complicated by pain, a dislocation, or an infection.
Dr. Eslam Pour’s main area of research is digital human performance analysis, hip-spine relation, computer simulation of human motions and clinical research regarding surgical arthritis and joint preservation. He is recipient of Mentored clinician scientist award (K08) from National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin diseases (NIAMS) as well as grants from Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation (OREF). He serves as Elite reviewer for multiple orthopaedic journals as well as ad hoc reviewer for grant programs.
