Daniel C. DiMaio, M.D., Ph.D., the Waldemar Von Zedtwitz Professor of Genetics and scientific director and deputy director of Yale Cancer Center, has been appointed to a five-year term on the Board of Scientific Advisors of the National Cancer Institute (NCI). The board assists and advises the director of the institute, with a primary focus on oversight of the full portfolio of the NCI’s extramural programs. The board also provides advice on scientific policies and reviews concepts for research and related activities supported by the NCI.
