Three scientists honored for innovative approaches

Three Yale scientists are among 50 recipients of the 2014 National Institutes of Health Director’s New Innovator Awards. The $1.5 million awards support innovative approaches to major challenges in biomedical research today.

With the award’s support, Matthew Simon, Ph.D., assistant professor of molecular biophysics and biochemistry, will use organic chemistry and enzyme engineering to research RNA dynamics in the cell.
