Gregg Gonsalves, PhD, assistant professor of epidemiology (microbial diseases) and associate (adjunct) professor of law, has been named a MacArthur Fellow, an award commonly known as a “genius grant,” honoring his advocacy in the early years of HIV/AIDS and how that informed his later epidemiology work which serves poor and marginalized communities.
