Smilow Cancer Hospital Partners with Yale Police to Raise Awareness

October 08, 2021

On October 7th, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center teamed up with the Yale University Police Department to raise awareness. In attendance were Breast Center physicians Drs. Maryam Lustberg, Lajos Pusztai, and Andrea Silber, along with officers from Milford Police Department and Yale, including Community Engagement Officer Greg Swiantek.

To celebrate the occasion, and to raise awareness all month long, the cruisers were wrapped in pink, and tote bags containing informational materials on breast cancer screening and treatment were handed out on the New Haven green. Thank you to everyone, including Yale Police Department's therapy dogs, for participating and helping to raise awareness!
