OHER announces availability of pilot funding for interventions addressing pediatric asthma in New Haven

March 07, 2023

The Office of Health Equity Research launched the Community Health Equity Accelerator (CHEA) initiative to unite leaders across sectors to test rapid-cycle interventions tackling health equity issues in New Haven. The first community-identified priority-area is pediatric asthma. A Guiding Coalition of 20 community leaders has been meeting monthly since July 2022 to identify levels of intervention and metrics that can demonstrate success in reducing asthma disparities in New Haven. The group has officially released a request for proposals (RFP). Applications are due April 19, 2023.

On Friday, March 10, 2023, we held our first CHEA information session for applicants and had a great turnout with representation from multiple community organizations. Our second information session for applicants is scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, from 2 pm-3 pm.

Potential applicants are encouraged to submit a non-binding letter of intent by March 20, 2023.
Please access materials from previous sessions and/or register to attend future information and technical assistance sessions by emailing oher@yale.edu
