Mollie Freedman-Weiss, MD, a resident in the Department of Surgery, was the First Place Podium Prize Winner at the 2020 Virtual New England Surgical Society (NESS) conference. Freedman-Weiss, who is a December 2020 Yale School of Medicine (YSM) Master in Health Science-Medical Education Pathway Degree (MHS-Med Ed) candidate, received the prize for her presentation of her master’s thesis medical education research project: Teaching the Learner to Teach: An Effective Curriculum to Engage Residents as Educators.
