Desai Named Featured Fellow by APA Minority Fellowship Program

Miraj Desai, PhD, Instructor in Psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, was selected by the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship Program to be its featured fellow in late May.

Desai, an instructor at the Yale Program for Recovery and Community Health, also recently spoke to New England Psychologist for the article, “Anti-Asian Hate Intensifies as Pandemic Lingers.”

His most recent work involves examination of institutional bias, racism, and inequity, particularly the hidden ways in which they proliferate.

His book, “Travel and Movement in Clinical Psychology: The World Outside the Clinic,” examines the relationship between mental health and various forms of structural oppression.
