Capurso Named Editor in Chief of the Carlat Addiction Treatment Report

June 17, 2021

Noah Capurso, MD, MHS, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, has been named Editor in Chief of the Carlat Addiction Treatment Report.

The monthly newsletter, which is distributed nationally, is published by Carlat Publishing.

As Editor in Chief, Capurso will manage the newsletter content, write and solicit articles, interview experts, and raise the publication’s profile. Carlat has a high penetration rate among psychiatrists nationally; currently, according to Capurso, one in five psychiatrists subscribe to at least one Carlat publication.

“Most of the readers are psychiatrists and one of my goals is to broaden the appeal to other allied health professions,” Capurso said. “Our readership among psychologists, nurses, and social workers is starting to expand and it would be great if that trend continues.”

Capurso is also launching a podcast associated with the Carlat Addiction Treatment Report.

He is a 2015 graduate of the Yale Psychiatry Residency Program. He completed an Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine in 2016.
