Amy Paundly, a Stratford mother-of-three, had struggled with obesity and yo-yo dieting since her teenage years; by the spring of 2021, her weight had crept up to nearly 240 pounds. Previously denied insurance coverage, Paundly partnered with Drs. Saber Ghiassi and Jennifer Schwartz at Bridgeport Hospital to design a comprehensive surgical and weight-management program , which helped the patient to lose nearly 100 pounds.
“You don’t know how great life can be until you have that activity level you haven’t had,” Paundly said about her post-op experience.
