"Breaking the Habit of Bias:" Three-hour Workshop on Jan. 28

January 20, 2021

Please join us for a workshop on “Breaking the Habit of Bias” Thursday, January 28, from 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m. by Dr. Patricia Devine, psychology professor and director of the Prejudice and Intergroup Relations Lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The workshop raises awareness of why bias persists despite an individual’s rejection of prejudiced ideas. Tools to reduce implicit bias are then presented with evidence for their effectiveness in hiring a more diverse faculty. Because space is limited, preference will be given to faculty and postdoctoral fellows. Please register in order to attend. This event is sponsored by SWIM, MORE, WFF, and YSM Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
