February 04, 2020

Robert S. Sherwin YCCI All Scholar Day will be held on March 9, 2020, starting at 8:30 AM at 333 Cedar Street in the Mary S. Harkness Auditorium.

First launched by Dr. Robert “Bob” S. Sherwin, the YCCI All Scholar Day has been an annual celebration of the center’s educational programs and the accomplishments of the trainees and scholars at all levels. Now in its fourteenth year, the YCCI has supported more than 151 junior faculty members. The scholars have gone on to successfully compete for more than 800 grants worth over $490 million, have published over 4,900 papers, and 99 percent of whom remain engaged in research.

The successes of the program are a reflection of Dr. Sherwin’s visionary leadership, tremendous dedication, and passion for training the next generation of clinical and translational researchers.

The event will be held on March 9, 2020 starting at 8:30 AM at 333 Cedar Street in the Mary S. Harkness Auditorium. The keynote speakers will be Dr. Victor J. Dzau, President of the Institute of Medicine and Chancellor Emeritus for Health Affairs and James B. Duke Professor of Medicine at Duke University and Nancy J.
