Jordan, Chekroud Elected to Editorial Advisory Board of The Lancet Psychiatry

Ayana Jordan, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, and Adam Chekroud, PhD, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, have been elected to the Editorial Advisory Board of The Lancet Psychiatry.

The board includes key opinion leaders and researchers from around the world who lend their expertise to the journal, which features original clinical research, expert reviews, and comment and opinion on mental health. The journal is published monthly and has an impact factor of 18.329.

Jordan completed residency training in the Yale Department of Psychiatry where she was Program-Wide Chief Resident. She also completed specialized addiction training at Yale with a particular interest in using her research background to address clinical questions in the Black community. She has conducted research in the Republic of Sierra Leone, examining the link between mental illness, substance use, and stigma.

Chekroud is co-founder of the mental health company Spring Health, which works with large employers to provide their employees with free and immediate access to high-quality outpatient mental healthcare. His research, which seeks to improve treatment outcomes in mental health, has been published in The Lancet Psychiatry, JAMA Psychiatry, Molecular Psychiatry, and PNAS. He received his PhD in Psychiatry from Yale in 2018.
