2026-27 Center for Medical Education Educator Development Series

The Yale School of Medicine (YSM) Center for Medical Education is pleased to announce its 2026-27 educator development programs for the Yale Educator Series (YES!) and the Medical Education Discussion Group (MEDG). Topics are designed for all experience levels and are applicable across health professions disciplines, supporting interprofessional learning.

Open to the YSM community, these free, one-hour Zoom sessions are accredited for AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)^TM.

Fridays, 12 - 1 p.m. (Sept. 11, 2026 - April 30, 2027)

Led by Yale health professions educators, YES! focuses on practical skills to engage and inspire learners across clinical, lab, workshop, and classroom settings. The series kicks off on Sept. 11 with a session led by Viji Kurup, MD, professor of anesthesiology, exploring practical strategies for building a fulfilling and sustainable career as a health professions educator.

Thursdays, 12 - 1 p.m. (Sept. 24, 2026 - April 15, 2027)

MEDG is a monthly forum for educators, scholars, and leaders to explore timely topics in health professions education. The first MEDG session, co-hosted by the Section of General Internal Medicine, features David Vermette, MD, MHS '23 (Medical Education), sharing his work on trainee flourishing. The talk will offer practical interventions for cultivating supportive educational environments where trainees can truly thrive.
