Dr. Veronica Chiang becomes full Professor in Yale Department of Neurosurgery.

July 27, 2017

Dear friends,

It is my distinct honor to announce that Dr. Veronica Chiang has been promoted to full Professor.

As you all know, Veronica has led our Gamma Knife and multidisciplinary metastatic brain tumor programs to high national standing, making real contributions to the care of these patients, including pioneering the use of laser thermocoagulation. She has published widely; most recently studying the effectiveness and timing of combining immune check point inhibitors and targeted therapies with radiosurgery, while contributing to the education of our residents and fellows. In addition, she has played an essential role in the medical school admissions committee since 2007.

This is indeed a great moment of pride and joy for our department. She will be giving her debut ‘professorial’ lecture on September 29th 2017, at 8 AM. Please join us during her grand rounds but feel free to reach out to Veronica now to congratulate her on this well deserved achievement. We will shortly announce further celebratory events.

Congratulations Professor Chiang, we are all very proud of you!
