The Department of Neuroscience and Kavli Institute for Neuroscience at Yale are pleased to announce the 2026 SYNAPSES Symposium to be held on October 22, 2026.
SYNAPSES (Symposia at Yale Neuroscience: Advanced PoStdoc Extramural Series) brings postdocs from around the world to Yale to share their latest work. This year’s symposium will be held on October 22, 2026, when all selected candidates will visit Yale. During their in-person visit, selected speakers will present their research to the Yale neuroscience community, meet with faculty members one-on-one, and interact with Yale postdocs.
Deadline: Applications for SYNAPSES will be accepted until 11:59 pm on September 3, 2026.
The Yale Neuroscience Department encompasses a broad spectrum of interests. This includes molecular, cellular, synaptic, systems, behavioral, cognitive, and computational approaches to understanding the nervous system. Thus, we encourage applications from postdocs in any area of neuroscience. We realize that the full potential of neuroscience research lies in the creative power that varied perspectives bring to the field. All interested postdocs are strongly encouraged to apply.
