Mission: Lower technical barriers to scientific exploration


Philosophy

Technological advances enable greater understanding of the structure and function of complex neural systems.

The Neurotechnology Core provides customized engineering solutions and training to the Yale neuroscience community. To fulfill our mission, we:

  • Provide training and access to a state-of-the-art design and fabrication facility that
  • Consult on design, fabrication and purchasing decisions
  • Design and fabricate novel scientific instrumentation
  • Train and assist researchers to leverage fee-for-service facilities at Yale and beyond
  • Serve as a nexus for technology transfer between scientists

Access

COVID Update: We are currently operational; however, we are not training new users for the fabrication space at this time. Please contact Joel Greenwood to discuss new collaborations and for consultations. We are closely monitoring the latest public health guidance issued by Yale University and the State of Connecticut, and look forward to reopening the manufacturing space to new users in accordance with these guidelines in the future.

Fabrication Facility

The Neurotechnology Core full-size fabrication facility is located at 350 George Street, New Haven, CT.
