Biography

Sreya is a current undergraduate student at the University of Pittsburgh. She is majoring in Neuroscience, minoring in Sociology and Chemistry, and pursuing an Asian Studies Certificate. After running a successful high school neurology club, she and Dr. Sara Schaefer launched their brainchild, The Grey Matter Project, a global network of high school neurology clubs (inspired by her own) across the United States, where she serves as Founder and Co-Director. Additionally, she has built an ML algorithm that processes retinal fundoscopy images and can diagnose patients with a variety of ocular disorders. She is currently doing research on the genomic relationship of GBM patients, specifically between long-term survivors and short-term survivors. Overall, she hopes to aid her community in as many ways as possible, with a high passion for serving those around her and applying her knowledge and past experiences to practical situations.
