Dr. Mishra is an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the Division of Stroke and Vascular Neurology at Yale University and the PI of a clinical research lab at Yale. In addition, he is a stroke neurologist at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has a long-standing interest in clinical neurosciences.

Dr. Mishra completed his medical school (1999-2003) and medical internship (2003-2005) at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India. He served as a neurology resident in the mentorship of Shirish M Hastak, MD, DM, and Praful M Dalal, MD (2004-2005). He earned his Ph.D. in medicine and therapeutics at the University of Glasgow, Scotland (2008-2012), under the mentorship of Kennedy R. Lees, MD. Dr. Mishra's doctoral work made significant contributions to the field, informing whether the exclusion criteria for iv tPA made sense. He served at Stanford Stroke Center as a non-ACGME fellow in Vascular Neurology (2012 to 2014) under the mentorship of Greg Albers, MD. Subsequently, after a year at the CDRH, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), he began his U.S. clinical training. For his residency and fellowship training, he was at Tulane University, New Orleans (2016-2018), Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York (2018-2020), and UCLA (2020-2021) (ACGME and Stroke Net Fellow).
