Biography

Nametso received her PhD in Medical Sciences from University of Botswana in 2022. Her PhD project evaluated HIV-1C compartmentalisation in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and plasma of individuals with HIV-associated cryptococcal meningitis in Botswana. She has authored and co-authored several publications from here PhD work and other HIV-related research https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2433-2416. Her current research at Yale focuses on evaluating evolutionary dynamics of HIV-1 in the CSF and blood of people with early untreated HIV infection. Nametso’s interests include understanding mechanisms of HIV pathogenesis in the CNS and their implications on neurocognitive outcomes.
