Melissa Mariscal, MD

Melissa has studied the role of platelet ERO1-alpha in thrombus formation in wild-type and KO-ER01 alpha mice. She served as the national vice president of internal affairs for the Latino Medical Student Association and was the founder of her school's LMSA chapter, which won the award for Outstanding New Student Organization in 2017. She was a winner of the AAN Neurology Medical Student Prize for Excellence in 2018. She enjoys Latinx-American and English literature, meditation, and yoga, coffee, furniture restoration, and gardening.
