Katherine has assessed language change in relation to DBS implantation for patients with Parkinson's disease. She worked on a narrative review of how LGBTQ+ healthcare (particularly transgender healthcare) is taught in medical schools. She is founder and clinic coordinator for a Neurology free clinic and is very involved with her school's student-run free clinic. She has served as president and secretary of SIGN and has held several peer support and mentorship roles. She enjoys carpentry, baking wedding cakes, gardening, yoga, running with her pup, Mozart, and reading.
