The American College of Emergency Physicians has selected Thomas Lardaro, MD, MPH, associate professor of emergency medicine and section chief of the Emergency Medical Services Section (EMS) in the Department of Emergency Medicine, as its representative to the National Association of State EMS Officials Technical Expert Panel for the fourth edition of the National Model EMS Clinical Guidelines. These guidelines develop evidence-based, universal standards of prehospital care for EMS systems nationwide, promoting uniformity in EMS medicine and establishing a vital clinical benchmark for agencies and medical directors across the country.
