Joshi Receives American Heart Association Career Development Award

Divyesh Joshi, PhD, an associate research scientist in cardiovascular medicine, received a Career Development Award from the American Heart Association for his project titled “Boosting Endothelial Klf2/4 for Vascular Resilience.” Vascular inflammation, the cause of most vascular diseases, is opposed by anti-inflammatory transcription factors Klf2 and Klf4. This project will characterize the fundamental genetic and epigenetic mechanisms underlying Klf2/4 regulation and offer proof-of-concept approaches for treating cardiovascular disease.
