The Department of Surgery congratulates Alfonsina (Allie) Fraschilla, MBA, division director, on completing the highly competitive Yale EMERGE Program. The eight-month leadership development program brings together new and experienced university leaders for executive coaching, leadership training, cross-functional collaboration, and a capstone project to advance a Yale strategic initiative.
Fraschilla’s capstone project, Reimagining the Yale Alumni Magazine, focused on a university-wide initiative outside her day-to-day responsibilities in academic surgery administration. Working with a multidisciplinary team, she explored strategies to strengthen alumni engagement, connection, and lifelong affiliation through enhanced storytelling and audience engagement across platforms.
“Allie’s graduation from the Yale EMERGE Program reflects her dedication to professional growth and leadership excellence,” said Claudia Chujoy, director of administration for the Department of Surgery. “This achievement demonstrates her commitment to continuous learning and her potential to make an even greater impact within the Department of Surgery and the broader Yale community.”
As division director, Fraschilla oversees operations and finances for the divisions of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Surgical Oncology, and Thoracic Surgery. She also serves as interim division director for Transplant Surgery.
