Richard Antaya, MD, is a professor of dermatology and pediatrics and section chief of pediatric dermatology at Yale School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from Tufts University in 1989 and completed his pediatrics residency at Tripler Army Medical Center. He practiced general pediatrics for three years in the United States Army at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and completed a dermatology residency at Duke University prior to joining the Yale faculty in 1998 as director of pediatric dermatology.
His clinical endeavors include severe inflammatory skin disease, especially atopic dermatitis, vascular anomalies, and viral infections. He has performed numerous clinical trials evaluating new therapeutics for children with skin disease.
