September 22, 2020

Two Yale programs have received a five-year R01 grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse to assess postpartum trajectories of opioid use in women.

Researchers from the Yale Imaging and Psychopharmacology (YIP) Lab and the Yale Child Study Center's Before and After Baby (BABL) Lab will combine detailed phenotyping with longitudinal imaging to categorize postpartum trajectories of stress and opioid use among women receiving medication treatments for opioid use disorder.

Sarah Yip, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and in the Child Study Center, is director or the YIP Lab. BABL is led by Helena Rutherford, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Child Study Center.
