Life in New Haven

Welcome to our home! New Haven is a wonderful city with a small town feel and big city resources and culture. We think that it is pretty incredible, and we hope that you do too. You will find below that there are many activities and places to explore when you come to New Haven--whether it is just for a visit or if you are settling in for the next few years! Here are some recommendations from medical students on their favorite things to do in New Haven:

"Seeing some of my favorite artists perform at College Street Music Hall has been amazing. Some highlights: Tinashe, Julien Baker, The Decemeberists, and Foster the People. Fun venue, and it's conveniently located within walking distance of, well, everything!" -- MS4

"Watching the Broadway shows that tour around here are cheaper than going to NYC and they are very good! The Yale Repertory theater is also very good!" -- MS2

"So many amazing parks in Connecticut to hike in! West Rock, Sleeping Giant, not to mention farther away Wadsworth Falls, Bear Mountain, and more!" -- MS1

"Arethusa Ice Cream! Their ice cream is some of the best ice creams I have ever had, and I had ice cream in some of the world famous ice cream places in four continents. It tastes very fresh, and one scoop is enough for at least two people." -- MS2
