Long Professor of Internal Medicine welcomed participants, describing the new network as bringing together researchers and other partners from biological, clinical and public health services who are committed to improving public health around the world through safe and effective vaccination.

- 00:34Highlighting these vaccine programs
- 00:36from this interdisciplinary network
- 00:38is intended to catalyze interest.
- 00:41And synergies across the University,
- 00:43and we encourage you to reach
- 00:45out to our speakers.
- 00:47In addition,
- 00:48many colleagues from across the schools
- 00:50of medicine and public health we have
- 00:52the pleasure of welcoming back to Yale.

- 00:56Doctor Peter Marks,
- 00:57director of the Center for Biologics
- 00:59Evaluation and Research at the FDA,
- 01:01Doctor Marks is overseeing the FDA review
- 01:04process for coronavirus vaccine candidates.
