On March 25, 2020, students and faculty ZOOMed into MD-PhD Second Look Day at maximal social-distances to virtually talk with accepted students about "why we chose Yale." Dr. Akiko Iwasaki gave a timely and fascinating lecture about the challenges at the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic which highlighted what we all love about Yale--the spirit of collaboration, limitless opportunities to be at the cutting edge of science and medicine, accessibility of world-class research and scientists, and the strong and supportive community that brings us all together even in virtual spaces.
