Clinical Research Pathway Required Courses:
  1. IMED 645: Introduction to Biostatistics in Clinical Investigation - 2 week summer course
  2. IMED 625: Principles of Clinical Research - 2 week summer course
  3. Sec Ed 104: Applied Principles of Clinical Research (5th Year Seminars with Dr. Karen Dorsey Sheares)

Laboratory/Translational Research Pathway Required Courses
  1. IMED 645: Introduction to Biostatistics in Clinical Investigation - 2 week summer course
  2. Sect Ed101: Intensive Pedagogical Experience in Techniques and Strategies for Laboratory Research (1 week summer course for 1st year medical students taken the summer after the 1st year) or Selected Seminars in CBB 740a, Clinical and Translational Informatics.

Additional Requirements

During 5th Pullout Year
  • Participation in monthly seminars and dinners throughout the Masters year.
  • Students are required to present their research in the Fall and Spring in a 10 minute PowerPoint Presentation.
  • Students will be expected to attend three Leadership in Biomedicine Lectures and dinners.
  • Participation in monthly seminars, and other announced activities throughout the Masters year.
