End-of-Year Message from Deputy Dean Jessica Illuzzi, MD, MS

December 19, 2021
by Jessica Illuzzi

As I approach the end of my first year as deputy dean for education, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone in the medical education community. I have learned so much from listening to students, faculty, staff, community members, and alumni, especially as we develop our priorities for medical education and move forward with strategic planning.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect our lives in so many ways, including how we care for our patients and how we work and learn together in an altered educational environment. I am so appreciative of everyone’s hard work, compassion, and flexibility to continually adapt during an unpredictable and often stressful time.

Please remember to take some time over the weeks ahead to rest and reflect in whatever way is most restorative for you personally. I wish you a very healthy and happy 2022.
