 of Neurosurgery and serves as director of the Gene and Cell Therapy for N
 eurorestoration Laboratory at Emory University School of Medicine. He is 
 also on faculty at Georgia Tech’s Parker H. Petit Institute for Bioengine
 ering and Bioscience Center for Regenerative Engineering and Medicine. Bo
 ulis graduated from Yale College and received his MD from Harvard Medical
  School in Boston\, Massachusetts. He completed his postdoctoral fellowsh
 ip and his residency in neurological surgery at University of Michigan Me
 dical Center in Ann Arbor\, Michigan. He has extensive expertise in the f
 ield of gene transfer to the nervous system. His lab pursues novel and ad
 vanced treatments for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)\, also known as
  Lou Gehrig's disease\, as well as Parkinson’s disease\, spinal muscular 
 atrophy\, and refractory pain conditions. His lab has developed a variety
  of gene therapy vectors and has focused on the development of techniques
  for safe and accurate injection of therapeutics into the brain and spina
