The Q-Forward: Building LGBTQI+ Leaders in Health Care conference aims to engage and inspire future LGBTQI+ leaders in health care in the areas of research, clinical care, education, and policy/advocacy. It will feature keynote speakers, posters, and interactive workshops with practical tools and strategies designed to address the unique challenges facing LGBTQI+ leaders.
Current health professional students (e.g., medical, nursing, physician associate, podiatry, dentistry, clinical psychology, biomedical research, social work, and public health students) and university undergraduate students with an interest in health care as a profession are invited to attend. Though the content of the conference will be geared toward students, others with an interest in working with students to develop LGBTQI+ leaders in health care (e.g., residents, advanced trainees, and faculty) are invited to participate.
The health and safety of our participants is of the upmost concern. Due to increased concerns about COVID-19, the Q-Forward Conference has been postponed. We are currently working to reschedule the event for the fall and will be in touch with all registrants, live stream participants, and those on the waitlist with further information as it becomes available. Thank you for all of your interest in Q-Forward.

This is the second annual meeting of this conference, which was formerly known as "Q-Med," and is sponsored by the Yale School of Medicine Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Dean's Advisory Council on LGBTQI+ Affairs.
